STS/ACC and Software Delivery FAQ's

Are the CAOS STS and ACC Databases interfaced with each other?
Yes, the two databases are fully integrated. If a patient reports to the Cath lab and information is collected in the ACC portion of CAOS (demographics, insurance info, etc) this same information will be available of the surgical side, thus eliminating duplicate data entry.
Does CAOS interface with other Hospital wide systems?
Yes, CAOS can easily interface with your hospital's ADT system, as well as, many Hemodynamic systems in the Cath lab, such as Witt, GE and Siemens.
Interfacing with disparate hospital systems will reduce data entry time and eliminate the redundant entry of like data.
How quickly can STS/ACC Databases be setup?
- With the internet based solution, Database only systems can be setup within 3-5 days with very little effort required on the part of the hospital data entry or IT staff.
Who owns the data?
- Customer data is always owned and controlled by the customer.
How can I securely interface CAOS with other hospital systems?
- This is accomplished by establishing a secure VPN tunnel. CAOS also maintains a secure FTP site for large file transfers. Data is always double encrypted in transit to the CAOS server room.
Who has physical access to the servers where my data will be stored?
- The CAOS server farm is maintained in a secure facility, two stories below ground. To access the servers, CAOS IT staff must be admitted through a series of locked doors and all staff are recognized both by hand print and a identification card.
Will other internet based customer's be able to see my site's data?
- No, each customer has a unique user name and password which allows them access to their own hospital's database.
